Tell your healthcare provider if you have a history of heart problems, high blood pressure, kidney problems, or asthma before using Vimovo. The medication can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious side effects with long-term use. Long-term use of NSAIDs like naproxen can increase the risk of stomach bleeding and ulcers. Long-term use of PPIs like esomeprazole can increase the risk of bone fractures. Use caution if you have a history of liver or kidney problems. Do not take this medication if you are taking Plavix (clopidogrel).
