Your doctor may prescribe Ubrelvy (Ubrogepant) to treat acute migraine headaches in adults. Migraine headaches are characterized by intense, throbbing pain on one side of the head, often accompanied by sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and vomiting. Ubrelvy belongs to a class of drugs called CGRP receptor antagonists, which work by blocking the action of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a molecule involved in headaches associated with migraines. Ubrelvy (Ubrogepant)

  • Ubrelvy comes in tablet form and is taken orally with or without food. The usual dose is one tablet (50mg or 100mg) taken as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine headache. If needed, patients may take a second dose at least 2 hours after the first dose, but no more than 2 doses should be taken within 24 hours. The most someone should take in 24 hours is 200 mg.
