Trulance (Plecanatide)

TRULANCE is contraindicated in patients less than 6 years of age; in young juvenile mice, plecanatide caused death due to dehydration. Avoid use of TRULANCE in patients 6 years to less than 18 years of age. The safety and effectiveness of TRULANCE have not been established in patients less than 18 years of age. The most common side effect of Trulance is diarrhea. Diarrhea usually begins within the first month of taking Trulance and may become severe. If you experience severe diarrhea, stop taking Trulance and contact your doctor right away. Diarrhea is not the only possible side effect of Trulance. Contact your doctor right away if you experience any side effects that are bothersome or won't go away.
