Seasonique (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol)

Take one tablet by mouth daily for 91 days as directed on the package. Seasonique contains 84 active pills followed by seven inactive pills. Take Seasonique at the same time every day to maximize its effectiveness.
Seasonique should be used cautiously in women who smoke and are over 35 years of age or who have a history of a blood clot, heart attack, or stroke. Tell your healthcare provider about a history of heart disease, liver problems, or high blood pressure. Seasonique can increase the risk of metabolic problems like abnormal cholesterol and high blood sugar. Tell your doctor if you have a history of these problems. Report any abnormal bleeding to your doctor immediately. If you experience an increase in the magnitude or frequency of headaches while taking this drug, tell your doctor.
