Reyataz (Atazanavir)

  • Reyataz is available in oral capsules and an oral powder. Follow the instructions that are on your prescription's label and read the package insert. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended Dosing Treatment-naive adults: Take Reyataz 300 mg by mouth with ritonavir 100 mg by mouth one time a day. Take with food., For patients who cannot tolerate ritonavir, they are recommended to take Reyataz 400 mg by mouth one time a day. Take with food., If taking efavirenz, take Reyataz 400 mg by mouth with ritonavir 100 mg by mouth one time a day. Treatment-experienced adults: Take Reyataz 300 mg by mouth with ritonavir 100 mg by mouth one time a day. Take with food., If taking with H2RA and tenofovir DF, take Reyataz 400 mg by mouth with ritonavir 100 mg by mouth one time a day. Pediatric patients: Dosing with the Reyataz oral capsules is determined by body weight. The dose should not be more than the adult dose. Take with food. Reyataz oral powder: Administer with ritonavir and with food. Avoid use in pediatric patients who weigh less than 5 kg. Pregnancy: Take Reyataz 300 mg by mouth with ritonavir 100 mg by mouth one time a day. Take with food. Dose adjustments: The dose of Reyataz may need to be adjusted based on other medications, kidney function, and liver function.
