Phexxi (Lactic acid,Citric Acid and Potassium bitartrate) Vaginal Gel

Phexxi is available in pre-filled vaginal applicators. Each applicator is for one-time use and contains 5 grams of gel with 1.8% lactic acid, 1% citric acid, and 0.4% potassium bitartrate. Follow the instructions that come with your prescription. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about any questions or concerns you have. The pre-filled applicator should be inserted into the vagina within one hour before vaginal intercourse. You should use a new applicator if you have vaginal intercourse more than one time within an hour. Once the applicator is inserted into the vagina, use your finger to push the plunger rod down until it stops to allow for the full dose of Phexxi gel. Remove the plunger rod and applicator from the vagina and place into the trash.

Phexxi can cause side effects. The most common include vaginal burning, vaginal itching, vaginal discomfort, vaginal pain, vaginal discharge, vaginal yeast infection, urinary tract infection, bacterial vaginosis, painful urination, and general discomfort. These are not all the possible side effects of Phexxi, so tell your doctor right away if you have side effects that are troublesome or persistent.
