If you experience hyperprolactinemia, then your doctor may prescribe Norprolac. Hyperprolactinemia is characterized by elevated levels of prolactin hormone in the blood. Hyperprolactinemia can cause various symptoms, including irregular menstrual periods, infertility, and breast milk production in non-pregnant women. Norprolac contains quinagolide, a dopamine agonist that works by binding to dopamine receptors in the brain, reducing the production and release of prolactin. By normalizing prolactin levels, Norprolac helps alleviate the associated symptoms.
