LOCOID (hydrocortisone butyrate) is a topical medication prescribed to treat topical dermatitis in patients who are three years or older. LOCOID is available as a lotion, cream, or ointment. LOCOID is a topical corticosteroid medication. This type of medicine helps to reduce inflammation and can treat itching, redness, and swelling associated with dermatitis. LOCOID works by decreasing the response of the immune system.
Locoid (hydrocortisone butyrate)
- Apply a thin layer of LOCOID to the affected area twice daily or as directed by the doctor. Do not use LOCOID longer than two weeks unless directed by your physician. Do not use an occlusive dressing when using LOCOID.
