Jentadueto (Linagliptan / Metformin)

The active ingredients in Jentadueto are linagliptin and metformin. There is no Jentadueto generic available. Linagliptin works by shutting down an enzyme calledDPP4, which is responsible for recycling certain hormones in the gastrointestinal tract. By shutting down this enzyme, the amount of insulin and glucose in the blood is rebalanced. Metformin works by reducing the amount of glucose produced in the liver and by making the body more sensitive to insulin.
