Intrarosa (Prasterone)
INTRAROSA (Prasterone) is an intravaginal medication that can be prescribed to treat dyspareunia during menopause. Dyspareunia is a symptom of menopause that includes pain during intercourse or during other sexual activities that include penetration. The pain may be located in different parts of the vagina. INTRAROSA is a topical steroid product. It isn't active but the body converts it to active estrogens and androgens when applied topically. These active steroids help to ease pain experienced during intercourse and treat dyspareunia.

Intrarosa (Prasterone)

  • The normal INTRAROSA dosage is 6.5 mg per vaginal insert. Insert one vaginal insert intravaginally once per day using the included applicator.
