Femoston is a prescription HRT therapy medication prescribed for women in menopause or post menopause who are in hormone replacement therapy to reduce the severity of menopause symptoms. Femoston also protects against osteoporosis after menopause. The active ingredients Estradiol and dydrogesterone replace hormones and provide relief from hot flashes and night sweats and other menopause symptoms, and Femoston is usually prescribed for hormone replacement therapy in short-term menopause symptom treatment.
Femoston (Dydrogesterone, estradiol hemihydrate)
- Women having regular periods can start taking Femoston on the first day of their period. Women having irregular periods will have a starting day that is determined by their doctor. The standard Femoston dosage is one tablet daily. Take tablets whole with a glass of water and try to take them at around the same time everyday. Tablets are labelled with the days of the week to help make it easier for you. Start by taking the tablets in the half of the packed with the '1' arrow. After finishing that half, begin on the tablets marked with the '2' arrow. If you forget to take a dose, do not take a make up dose. Resume taking your Femoston menopause medication at the same time the next day.
