Duac (Clindamycin phosphate, benzoyl peroxide)

  • Follow the instructions and read the package insert that comes with your Duac Gel prescription. Your doctor or pharmacist can help you with any questions or concerns you may have about the medication. Duac Gel is available in a gel consisting of clindamycin phosphate (a lincosamide antibacterial) and benzoyl peroxide. Duac Gel is for use on the skin only. Do not get the gel in your mouth, eyes, or vagina. Do not apply it to scratches or cuts on the skin. First, gently wash your face with a mild soap. Rinse your face with warm water and dry the skin by patting. It is recommended to apply a thin layer of Duac Gel to the face one time a day in the evening. Wash your hands with soap and water after applying the gel.
