Shake the Carafate suspension bottle well before taking each dose. The usual dosage is 1 tablespoon, 4 times a day, at least an hour before a meal. 10 ml of Carafate suspension contains sucralfate 1 gm. It may take up to two months for the ulcer to completely heal.
