Examples of gastrointestinal issues include Barrett's esophagus, duodenitis, dysphagia, esophageal diseases, gastritis, andulcers. BONIVA can lower calcium, so your calcium levels should be monitored while taking it. Tell your doctor if severe bone, joint, muscle, or jaw pain occur while taking BONIVA. You may need to stop taking BONIVA and switch to another medication.
