Biktarvy (Bictegravir / Emtricitabine / Tenofovir Alafenamide)

The active ingredients in Biktary are bictegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide.

Do not take this drug if you are taking dofetilide or rifampin. Tell your doctor if you have a history of kidney or liver problems before starting this drug. Stop taking this drug if you develop lactic acidosis symptoms while taking it. It is not recommended to use other antiretroviral medications while using Biktarvy. Do not take this drug if you are also infected with the hepatitis B virus.

Common adverse reactions may include: Abdominal pain, Abnormal dreams, Acute kidney injury, Angioedema, Decreased neutrophils, Depression, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Dyspepsia, Fanconi's syndrome, Fatigue, Flatulence, Headache, Increased LDL cholesterol, Increased serum alanine aminotransferase, Increased serum amylase, Increased serum aspartate aminotransferase, Increased serum bilirubin, Increased serum creatine kinase, Increased serum creatinine, Insomnia, Nausea, Proximal tubular nephropathy, Renal tubular necrosis, Severe renal disease, Skin rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Suicidal ideation, Suicidal tendencies, Toxic epidermal necrolysis, Urticaria, Vomiting
