Bensal Topical Ointment (Salicylic acid)

  • Bensal HP ointment should only be used to the skin. Avoid getting it in your mouth, eyes, or nose. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Before applying Bensal HP ointment, clean the affected skin with saline or water and pat dry with a clean towel or cotton gauze. The usual dose is to apply a generous amount of the ointment and spread evenly to the affected area(s) of the skin twice daily. Wash your hands with soap and water before and after you apply the ointment. Do not cover the affected area(s) with an adhesive bandage unless your doctor has instructed you to do so.
