Patients are also recommended to minimize their exposure to the sun, avoid tanning beds, and wear protective clothing and sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher when being exposed to the sun or UV light., Altace HCT can cause low blood pressure., ACE inhibitors can cause abnormal white blood cell counts and bone marrow depression. These reactions are more likely to develop in patients with kidney problems or a collagen disease such as lupus or scleroderma, or in patients being treated with other medications that can affect blood cell counts. Patients should seek medical care if they develop signs or symptoms of an infection, such as a fever or sore throat., ACE inhibitors can cause elevated liver enzymes, elevated bilirubin, and liver inflammation. Patients should seek medical care right away if they experience fever, general discomfort, muscle pain, rash, swollen lymph nodes, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, itching, or yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin., ACE inhibitors, including ramipril, have been associated with angioedema, including intestinal angioedema. Patients should seek emergency care right away if they develop swelling of the face, arms, legs, eyes, lips, tongue or have trouble swallowing or breathing. Taking Altace HCT with certain medications, such as mTOR inhibitors (e.g. sirolimus), DPP-IV inhibitors (e.g. sitagliptin), and NEP inhibitors, can increase the risk of angioedema., Patients who take an ACE inhibitor and receive dialysis with high-flux membranes or low density lipoprotein apheresis with dextran sulfate and are taking an ACE inhibitor may experience anaphylactoid reactions, such as nausea, stomach cramps, burning, angioedema, trouble breathing, and severe low blood pressure., Patients who take an ACE inhibitor and receive desensitization treatment with hymenoptera venom may experience anaphylactoid reactions., Some patients may experience sensitivity reactions to Altace HCT, even if they do not have allergies or asthma. In addition, lupus can be activated or worsened., Patients who take medications that contain ACE inhibitors, including Altace HCT, and receive injectable gold may experience nitroid reactions that can cause symptoms such as flushing of the face, nausea, vomiting, and symptomatic low blood pressure., Abnormal electrolyte levels can occur with Altace HCT treatment., Vision problems, such as glaucoma, can occur with hydrochlorothiazide use., Inform your doctor of any surgeries or procedures you will be having., Photosensitivity can occur with hydrochlorothiazide use.
