Alinia (nitazoxanide) is used to treat diarrhea caused byGiardia lamblia or Cryptosporidium parvum. Alinia is available in 500 mg tablets and a 100 mg/5 mL oral suspension.

- Take Alinia exactly as your doctor has prescribed. You should complete the full course as prescribed, even if you start to feel better. Alinia tablets should not be given to patients who are 11 years old and younger.
