Aklief is a prescription acne treatment medication used to prevent acne for teenagers and it is formulated to be effective for both acne vulgaris and inflammatory acne. This acne solution can be used on the face, shoulders, chest, or back with equal effectiveness based on where the individual is experiencing acne resulting from sebaceous glands that are more active as a young person passes through puberty. Trifarotene is a retinoid molecule that aids skin in replacing old skin cells at a faster speed while also exfoliating away old cells and reducing the occurrence of new acne blemishes.
Aklief Cream (Trifarotene)
- For topical use on skin only. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, paranasal creases, or mucous membranes. Apply a thin layer of Aklief cream to affected areas 1x daily on clean, dry skin. Application in the evening before bed is best. Volume of cream applied will depend on body part being treated. Read instruction in pamphlet for more on what standard application guidelines apply based on body part treated. Using a moisturizer is recommended while using Aklief cream.
